Inkscape - Open Source vector graphics editor

Inkscape is a Open Source vector graphics editor similar to Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Xara X and using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format.

Its main aim to become a powerful graphic tool while being fully compliant with the XML, SVG and CSS standards.

Inkscape is a specially designed for Linux but now it also compatible with Mac OSX, and Microsoft Windows.

it supports many advanced SVG features like; basic shapes, paths, text, markers, clones, alpha blending, transforms, gradients, and grouping etc..

With Inkscape; you can easily edit nodes, perform complex path operations, trace bitmaps and much more.

It also imports several formats like EPS, PostScript, JPEG, PNG, BMP, and TIFF and exports PNG as well as multiple vector-based formats.
